There's More Out There Than Scholarships.
Money and recognition show up in more places than you'd expect: where you live, what you study, your community work, your creativity and even a project you want to build. PALP helps you find what fits.
- PALP tracks more than 180 scholarships, awards and funded programs, and the list keeps growing.
- We narrow the list to what fits you: your location, grade, interests and record.
- Funding can help pay for college or for a project you want to build.
- Every PALP student applies for at least one opportunity during the year.
We've Already Started the Search for You
You shouldn't have to start every scholarship search with a blank Google page. PALP keeps a growing, researched database of scholarships, awards, project funding and programs that may fit you.
PALP students working through real opportunities, not just a list of links.

What Are You Actually Looking For?
You might call all of it a "scholarship," but the categories are different, and knowing the difference helps you search smarter.
| Type | What it can mean for you |
|---|---|
| Scholarships | Money to help pay for college, technical school or another eligible path. It may be based on merit, need, service, location, intended major, background or other rules. |
| Awards & Competitions | Recognition for something you've done or can show: service, writing, speaking, research, art, leadership or innovation. Some include money; others offer recognition, travel or advancement. |
| Grants & Project Funding | Money or donated support to help you launch, test or grow an eligible Community Impact Project or other youth-led effort. |
| Funded Programs & Experiences | Summer programs, leadership institutes, research experiences, fellowships, conferences or college-access programs where some or all of the cost is covered. |
| Recognition & Nominations | Outside recognition that may not pay tuition but documents your service, leadership, creative work or impact. |
Don't Wait Until Senior Year
Many college scholarships are for seniors, but getting ready for them isn't. If you wait until 12th Grade to build everything an application asks about, you're trying to create your story while you submit it. PALP starts earlier.

PALP Doesn't Just Give You a Link
Finding an opportunity is only the first step. PALP helps you understand what the application is really asking for and whether it's worth your time.
| PALP can help you... | What that looks like |
|---|---|
| Check the fit | Read eligibility carefully before you spend hours applying. |
| Prioritize | Separate strong local and matched opportunities from long shots. |
| Build your materials | Use your verified PALP record, résumé, service history and project evidence. |
| Plan the deadline | Break a large application into manageable steps instead of starting the night before. |
| Prepare your story | Pick the experience that actually answers the prompt, instead of using the same essay for everything. |
| Ask for recommendations | Choose the right recommender, give enough notice and provide useful evidence. |
| Revise | Strengthen essays, résumés and materials without losing your own voice. |
| Track submissions | Know what you applied for, what's still missing and what's due next. |
| Verify legitimacy | Check the provider and official rules before you share personal information. |
PALP won't write a false story for you, invent accomplishments, help you apply dishonestly or guarantee an award. You're responsible for the truth and your final submission.
Your PALP work is what turns into real application evidence.
Your PALP Work Can Become Application Evidence
Your PALP work isn't valuable because it "looks good." It's valuable when you can show what you actually did, learned and contributed.
Not Every Scholarship Is Worth Your Time
More applications isn't automatically better. Ask whether each one is a real fit.
That's why a $1,000 local scholarship can sometimes deserve more attention than a famous national one with a huge applicant pool. PALP helps you think about fit, not just the dollar amount.
Protect Yourself: Free Money Should Not Require a "Winning Fee"
Scholarship searches attract scams. The Federal Trade Commission warns that you should never pay to apply for a scholarship. Watch out for "guaranteed" scholarships, requests for bank or credit card information to hold an award and upfront processing fees.
Always go back to the official provider, read the rules and confirm the source before you share personal information.

You Still Have Access to the Big Search Engines
PALP's database adds local and targeted opportunities to big search tools like College Board's BigFuture, which PALP also teaches you to use.

You Don't Have to Win for the Process to Build You
You won't win everything you apply for. No one does. But researching, applying, handling rejection and trying again prepares you for college, work and adult life.
