Don't Wait Until Senior Year

Many college scholarships are for seniors, but getting ready for them isn't. If you wait until 12th Grade to build everything an application asks about, you're trying to create your story while you submit it. PALP starts earlier.

PALP can help you...What that looks like
Check the fitRead eligibility carefully before you spend hours applying.
PrioritizeSeparate strong local and matched opportunities from long shots.
Build your materialsUse your verified PALP record, résumé, service history and project evidence.
Plan the deadlineBreak a large application into manageable steps instead of starting the night before.
Prepare your storyPick the experience that actually answers the prompt, instead of using the same essay for everything.
Ask for recommendationsChoose the right recommender, give enough notice and provide useful evidence.
ReviseStrengthen essays, résumés and materials without losing your own voice.
Track submissionsKnow what you applied for, what's still missing and what's due next.
Verify legitimacyCheck the provider and official rules before you share personal information.

PALP won't write a false story for you, invent accomplishments, help you apply dishonestly or guarantee an award. You're responsible for the truth and your final submission.

Your PALP work is what turns into real application evidence.

Your PALP Work Can Become Application Evidence

Your PALP work isn't valuable because it "looks good." It's valuable when you can show what you actually did, learned and contributed.

Community Impact Project: proof of initiative and real results.
Leadership or workstream role: proof you were trusted with something real.
Service record: verified hours for applications.
PALP Achievement Record: a clear record for recommenders.
Résumé: a truthful summary you can adapt.
Mock interviews: practice for interview rounds.
Research work: proof of how you check facts.
Awards: verified PALP recognition.

Not Every Scholarship Is Worth Your Time

More applications isn't automatically better. Ask whether each one is a real fit.

✓
Are you actually eligible?
✓
Is the provider legitimate and is the opportunity still active?
✓
How many people are likely competing: national, state, county, city, school?
✓
Does the application match something you can genuinely demonstrate?
✓
How much work does it require compared with the potential benefit?
✓
Do you need a recommendation, transcript, portfolio, interview or proof of service?
✓
Can one strong piece of work be responsibly adapted for multiple applications?
✓
What's the deadline, and what has to happen before it?

That's why a $1,000 local scholarship can sometimes deserve more attention than a famous national one with a huge applicant pool. PALP helps you think about fit, not just the dollar amount.

Protect Yourself: Free Money Should Not Require a "Winning Fee"

Scholarship searches attract scams. The Federal Trade Commission warns that you should never pay to apply for a scholarship. Watch out for "guaranteed" scholarships, requests for bank or credit card information to hold an award and upfront processing fees.

Always go back to the official provider, read the rules and confirm the source before you share personal information.
