Who We Are & What We Do
Building stronger communities.
Who We Are
At National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment (NVEEE), we believe in the boundless potential of young people to drive meaningful change. For over 15 years, we have dedicated ourselves to equipping students with the knowledge, leadership skills, and compassion they need to confront critical issues like bullying, suicide prevention, mental health challenges, and social inequities.
Our mission is to empower the next generation of leaders to build a society where inclusion, equity, and empathy are at the forefront—creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. We approach this mission with a holistic mindset, fostering connection, resilience, and self-discovery while inspiring young people to take bold action in their schools, communities, and beyond.
NVEEE is nationally recognized for our innovative programs that prioritize youth voices, mentorship, and peer-led approaches to leadership and social change. From immersive training programs to ongoing support networks, we ensure that participants feel empowered and supported at every step of their journey. Many go on to become NVEEE Peace Ambassadors, turning their passion into purpose as advocates, mentors, and changemakers.
We are not just helping individuals—we are sparking a ripple effect of hope and empowerment that transforms communities, bridges divides, and paves the way for a brighter, more compassionate future. Together, we’re shaping a world where courage, connection, and compassion lead the way.
What We Do
Through our dynamic programs and initiatives, NVEEE addresses the root causes of bullying, social inequities, and mental health challenges while equipping students with the tools to thrive.
Our Areas of Focus
Youth Leadership Development
Youth Leadership Development
We prepare high school and college students to lead with empathy, equity, and purpose through a range of leadership-focused programs. These include:
A school-year program designed to foster connection, self-discovery, and personal development among high school students.
A dynamic and intensive summer program held on four prestigious college campuses—UCF, UF, FIU, and Georgetown University. PALS immerses students in hands-on leadership training, focusing on building practical skills in communication, teamwork, and advocacy while fostering a deep understanding of social issues. This summit empowers participants to identify their unique strengths as leaders and equips them to take immediate, actionable steps toward creating positive change in their communities.
Through partnerships with colleges and universities, NVEEE provides college students with experiential learning opportunities in nonprofit leadership. Interns gain valuable skills in areas such as Marketing and Communications, Program Development, Community Outreach, Fundraising, and Youth Engagement. The program, offered in virtual, hybrid, or in-person formats, allows interns to mentor high school students while contributing to NVEEE’s mission of creating meaningful change.
This program addresses the unique needs of diverse LGBTQIA+ youth and their families in South Florida through education, resources, leadership and life skills development, mentorship, brave spaces, and community partnerships.
A council of student leaders who guide NVEEE’s programming by offering insights on youth perspectives and social trends.
Through these programs, participants gain hands-on experience, practical skills, and the confidence to create meaningful change in their schools, communities, and beyond.
Peer Mentoring Programs
Peer Mentoring Programs
Mentoring is at the heart of what we do. Graduates of NVEEE programs return to mentor high school students, passing on their knowledge and serving as role models. High school students who have been part of our programs longer also mentor their peers, creating a cycle of learning, growth, and leadership. To participate in our mentoring program, students must be enrolled in NVEEE’s Peace Ambassador Leadership Program (PALP), a school-year program designed to foster connection, self-discovery, and personal development.
Life and Social Skills Development
Life and Social Skills Development
NVEEE equips students with practical, transferable skills that prepare them for success in all aspects of life—whether they pursue higher education, enter the workforce, take a gap year, or follow another path. Our programs focus on leadership development, mental wellness, critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, academic preparation, career planning, and the social skills needed to build healthy relationships and thrive in diverse environments. By fostering confidence, adaptability, and resilience, NVEEE ensures students are prepared to navigate challenges, achieve their goals, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Community Service
Community Service
At the core of everything we do is a commitment to serving others and giving back. NVEEE participants engage in community service projects that build stronger, more connected neighborhoods while fostering a lifelong sense of responsibility and civic engagement. To honor their dedication, we are proud to award eligible participants the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), a national recognition celebrating outstanding volunteer efforts.
Bullying and Suicide Prevention
Bullying and Suicide Prevention
NVEEE’s prevention programs teach students how to safely intervene when bullying occurs, foster environments of respect and inclusion, and advocate for mental health and emotional well-being.
Mental Health and Wellness Advocacy
Mental Health and Wellness Advocacy
Mental health and wellness are at the core of everything we do. NVEEE creates safe and supportive environments where students can openly discuss their challenges and seek help without stigma. We help students develop resilience, manage stress, and build emotional intelligence through mindfulness practices, coping strategies, and peer support. By connecting students with trusted resources and fostering a culture of care, NVEEE empowers young people to prioritize their well-being and support others in doing the same.
Social Justice Education
Social Justice Education
We challenge harmful stereotypes and teach students how to address systemic inequities through education, dialogue, and advocacy for equity and justice.
