"Without a doubt NVEEE is a great organization that I have been able to be a part with. When I attended their Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS) this year it was one the best experiences I’ve ever had. It enabled me not only to get service hours but get out of my shell, become a better leader, and be the person who I am today."
Raphael
"NVEEE has had such a huge impact on me from the moment I started. It has strengthened me as a leader, encouraged me to deeply understand the concepts of bullying and, how to prevent it . This organization gives me the chance to actually go out and make a positive difference in the world. I'm so grateful to have found and to be involved with NVEEE!"
Kyra
"NVEEE has been an amazing experience for me. I’ve always wanted to help people hands-on, and NVEEE opens that outlet for me. I have learned about the struggles of other people, which has motivated me to help those who are not as priviledged as I am. It has created a postive impact in me and has helped me help myself and others."

Communication, I talk to so many people and made a lot of new friend I usually would have never done. I’ve learned inclusion and have been introduced to topic I’ve been confused on.

The most valuable lesson that I learned during this program was that it is important to step out of my comfort zone, network and meet new people, assert myself as a leader, and mold myself into the person that I want to be.

Learning how to publicly speak was a very valuable skill that i learned because i have a very hard time talking to groups and sometimes just talking to people in general so this helped me boost my confidence, self esteem and the way i speak.

How did PALS influence your thoughts about your future career or education?

The most valuable skilled I learned was the importance of a good resume. I learned that resumes should be targeted to the job and position you wish to have. The workshop was very insightful so much so that I asked the professor to review and critique my resume. He did and a I feel more confident using my resume for any position.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned at this program was the importance of communication. People cannot read minds, and unfortunately sometimes cannot read body language, so sometimes we have to verbally express ourselves to get through an obstacle.

One of the most valuable skills I learn was the elevator pitch, I had heard the term before but being able to do it and get feedback on it helped me understand some things about presenting myself when I want an opportunity.
