Educational Services

The role of the Educational Services Department is to provide a place where youth can receive quality, factual information from various topics ranging from bullying and relationships to sexual health and drugs. This department focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment for young adults to share their stories, ask questions and gain access to important resources. This department works closely with all other departments, especially the mentoring department to make sure we are providing our youth with the most useful, current information.

Philanthropy & Fundraising

The Department of Philanthropy and fundraising is responsible for creating new fundraising initiatives and developing plans to support NVEEE’s outreach efforts and mission. We will collaborate closely with the marketing department to coordinate fundraising efforts in the areas of direct mail campaigns, web communications, Planned Giving and Prospect Research.

Planned Giving allows NVEEE supporters the opportunity to contribute to the future work of the organization through bequests, life insurance and annuities. We will facilitate the start-up of planned giving programs by supplying resource materials, consulting services and presentation of seminars and programs aimed at increasing awareness of the benefits of planned giving.

This department is committed to providing financial resources for NVEEE’s work in the 21st century and beyond. Without adequate financial support, our dream of achieving equality, providing education and giving a voice to victims of hate crimes cannot be fully realized. This department will utilize every available resource to secure our standing in the future and make sure we are a lasting part of the community.

The primary role of the Philanthropy Department is to raise the funds to support our programs and secure the longevity of the company. We will manage the front line fundraising operations, as well as Planned Giving, Prospect Research, Grant Writing, and Post-Grant reporting practices. Our department will work with board members and strategic planning committees, in order to identify where we want to go and how we are going to get there. We will conduct research, develop strategies, draft letters of inquiry, status reports and grant proposals in order to obtain funds for new or ongoing programs. Furthermore, we will maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects and a solicitation calendar that we can draw from annually.
